1972 Ozbek was founded by two young and passionate law graduates, Figen Ozbek and Erol Ozbek. Ozbek has since been advising its clients on a broad portfolio of issues, without compromising its deeply rooted values of mutual respect, trust and loyalty.
2006 After working 7 years for a reputable law firm, Selin Ozbek Cittone joined Ozbek as the second generation of family partners. Deniz Senvar Pekin, a classmate, long term friend and trusted colleague of Selin Ozbek Citttone joined the firm in the same year after 7 years of experience in reputable law firms. Deniz Senvar Pekin and Selin Ozbek Cittone have been instrumental in strengthening the Firm’s capabilities in regards to M&A and Capital Markets. They have worked with a large variety of international clients and brought to Ozbek their rich professional experience. Their understanding of each other and their complementary skills have been a catalyst for the Firm’s success.
2013 Atahan Sevimli and Alp Cal became partners to co-lead corporate and litigation practices, respectively, with other partners.
2014 Selen Ibrahimoglu Gures joined Ozbek as a managing partner. This marked the reunion of three classmates who share the same passion for the law and aim to further broaden the horizons for Ozbek. Previously, a corporate and M&A partner at a leading Turkish law firm, over the last 15 years Selen Ibrahimoglu Gures has played a key role in numerous large scale M&As, privatizations, corporate and commercial law matters, capital markets, private equity and venture capital transactions.
2021 Gulsah Gokce became partner and co-leads the corporate, data privacy and litigation practices, together with other partners.
Ozbek now employs 2 founding partners, 6 partners and 10 associates, associated lawyers and paralegals. The team is a strong, result-oriented and responsive legal team, fluent in English, German, Italian and/or French.
