ÖZBEK was founded in 1972 by Figen Özbek and Erol Özbek, both of whom follow their family tradition of private legal practice. For more than 35 years, ÖZBEK has represented and advised clients in almost all fields of law with a special focus on real estate, commercial transactions, contracts, general corporate practice and corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, capital markets, and civil law.

ÖZBEK is a full-service law firm offering legal services to international and domestic companies, institutions and individuals. ÖZBEK's international practice enabled it to provide legal consultancy to numerous foreign individuals and investors in different areas of law.

During the 1980s, Figen Özbek served as chief legal counsel of a leading operator in the field of airport and airplane services. Later in the 1990s, Erol Özbek not only acted as chief legal counsel of a Turkish conglomerate in the construction sector, and also served as general manager in one of the affiliates of the same group.

Following professional experience in reputable law firms and corporations engaging in international law practice, Deniz Şenvar Pekin and Selin Özbek joined ÖZBEK as partners in 2006. As a result, ÖZBEK’s areas of practice have been enriched and expanded. Their experience in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, competition, international private law, securities transactions, privatization, and arbitration enables ÖZBEK to offer its clients quality services in these areas as well.
